MEGA Meeting Setup and Demo
Overview:
- Poll – Quick poll used for votes
- Whiteboard – collaborative space for text, shapes and drawings. Ability to transfer contents by copying and pasting into 3rd party software (i.e. Word, PPT)
- Noteboard – Similar to Whiteboard, but less functionality
- Show My Desktop (plugin) – Used for presentations (click “fit to screen” on lower left)
- Reduce Echo – use headset mics, turn off mic when not speaking, click echo reduction (right click on your name)

Old Business
Workshops for 2010/11
- Ebooks Workshop (setup by Mary)
- Screencasting Workshop (still in consideration) – Need to ask Admin council if presentation funds can be used for purchasing software for the presentation. Jean will check with Tech Committee about possible presenters (Camtasia and Jing).
Maintenance and Use of Website and Wiki
- Website is maintained and draft Minutes were removed from Wiki. Heather has volunteered to do further cleaning in December.
New Business
Joint meeting with SPLAMBA – Jean will call Karen to discuss potential ideas
Reference shares/problems
Jean is using Credo – The service searches a group of books or individual books, interfaces with databases. She finds it would work best for academic libraries.
